Rotala Blood Red - 3 Stems

Red Rotala (Rotala rotundifolia variations like 'Blood Red' or 'Hi Red') is a vibrant, popular stem plant highly valued for aquascaping. 

 Care Requirements

·         Lighting: High intensity (10+ hours a day) is essential to bring out deep red pigments.

·         CO₂: Highly recommended to achieve compact, dense growth and intense color. 

S        Seachem Flourish Excel works well as a CO₂ substitute. 

·         Water Parameters: Temperature of 72–82°F (22–28°C), pH of 5.5–7.5, and soft to      moderately hard water.

·         Substrate: Nutrient-rich aquarium soil with root tabs for microelements and iron.

Placement & Propagation

·         Placement: Best suited for the midground or background. Planting them densely in bunches creates a striking visual contrast when paired with light-green foreground plants.

·         Propagation: Simply trim healthy stem tops and replant them into the substrate. Regular trimming encourages bushier growth and prevents lower leaves from being shaded out.
